No, I don't think that Palin will be welcomed back into this state with open arms. She's been bashing the Democratic party for sometime now, and think it will bite her in the ass.

The Gov's Mansion hosts an open house every year around early Dec. I want to go this year (we have before) and tell her, "Thanks, I'm now a registered democrat." I'm sure I'd be asked to leave.

Oh, yeah, Diva, I wanted to let you know that dh and a few other relatives have convinced mil to vote for Obama after all. :D Her English isn't great, and she had some concerns other than just race. Now that it has been translated for her, she feels better about it.

I have to add too, that Juneau is a suprisingly Democratic party leaning little part of Alaska. When Ted Stevens was convicted yesterday, people were happy about the good news.
