stinky baby breath

My 8.5 month old dd has terrible breath. This is a new thing the last couple days. Is this something to be concerned about?

Does he have a cold? Sometimes when dc had colds I noticed stinky breath. Perhaps due to drainage and more mouth breathing.

Same with my DS. He gets bad breath with a sinus infection. I also called the doc on this once and the nurse asked if DS was the sort to put food up his nose, in his ears, etc and sometimes when they do that it gets stuck up there and gets stinky.

She's had a little cold for a couple weeks but the congestion has pretty much cleared up. That might be it though.
