When I pump, I can see the milk squirting out ya know, question is i only squirt milk from like two holes. sometimes milk only flows from one. Is this like normal or should it be more like a spray from mulitple holes in the nipple. Strange, i know...but curious

I'm not sure really. I usually spray from lots of holes. Sometimes I only spray from 1 or 2 on my right side. Mostly it's lots though. It could be that you aren't letting down to the pump as well as your baby. Maybe when you feed your baby you do spray more? Not sure--I too am curious to see what other moms say about this.

There are many ducts with many openings and it just depends on the angle of the horn on how many ducts you are stimulating in a particluar position. I have found in my own experience, that I can sort of shift the horn around while I am pumping and stimulate different ducts.

I have also found that sometimes, inadvertantly, I lean the horn into the breast too hard and that slows production, so make sure you are in a comfortable postion and are fully supporting the breast involved. If you are using a double pump, you can use a hands free bustier, like the one at www.nursingmothersupplies.com

thanks, i notice that also when i move the cone around, and if i massage the breast it sometimes comes out more than one. i was just talking to my SIL and when she pumps she says it sprays from multiple holes allowing her to pump alot in a short amount of time.

The average number of external milk ducts a woman has is 10. The ones that don't SQUIRT out, are probably coming out at a slower rate, and it drips down the nipple, rather than spraying.
