My daughter nurses great but she is constantly nursing. Am I just not stimulating her enough to do other things? I've tried to get down on the floor with her and play but after 30 minutes or so she just wants to nurse again. I just feel like maybe I'm doing something wrong.

How old is your daughter?

Has this been happening since birth, or just recently?

Does she feed constantly throughout the day or just during the evening or other time of day?

Cheryl's questions are very important :) It could be anything from normal, to teething, to reflux, etc.

How old is your daughter? 4 months old

Has this been happening since birth, or just recently? At birth it was a fight to get her to eat but since about 2 months, she just constantly nurses throughout the day

Does she feed constantly throughout the day or just during the evening or other time of day? All day and evening and then when she finally goes to sleep she eats once or twice at night. But like I said all day and all evening she wants to constantly nurse

Does she spit up alot? Is she fussy? What are her cues to nurse?

How long is she nursing per feeding? Are limiting her time at the breast? Do you offer both sides?

Some babies do nurse a lot during the day since they don't want to nurse a lot at night.

Have you tried breast compressions toward the end of a feeding to get her the fatty (and filling) hind milk?

Does she spit up alot? Is she fussy? What are her cues to nurse? She seems really fussy and she is spitting up a lot. She cries a lot and just seems very hungry.

How long is she nursing per feeding? Are limiting her time at the breast? Do you offer both sides? about 20 minutes and then she starts playing. I don't limit her at all. And I do offer her both sides

It can't hurt, but I'm wondering if she has reflux. Some babies comfort nurse because it helps their reflux.
