He did it!! (potty)

Got Ds up at 5:30 this morning. His diaper was still dry. We talked as he sat on the potty, I gave him a sucker and his blanket. 20 Min later he got all wide eyed and said "It's comin!" Then went pee in his potty! Got up and gave me a BIG hug! We cheered and clapped. I think this may be the right time!

It was silly talking to him when he started to have an erection. Looked down and got angry at his penis and said, "It's bigger! Don't do that. Go down!" Then he asked me to help him make it go down. Said I can't hun. It will go down all by itself.

Now... if nothing goes wrong, like last time, where I had to take DD to the Dr after she fell down the stairs at school, I THINK we should have a great potty training day! Wish us luck!!

4 Yays! 6 oops. 2 of the oops were when we put training pants on him. He's bear bummed and not seeming to mind. I did put a diaper on him last night. I debated on it a while then decide with DH gone and me being prego, I really needed the extra sleep. Didn't want to get up 2-3 times in the night and fight him. This morning I got him up and the first thing he said was "Me sleep my bed, NOW". Can you imagine what he would have done last night HEHE! We will work on day training first.

So far so good this morning. He was eating breakfast and started to pee on the stool, stopped, jumped off and put the rest into the potty I placed near him. HORRAY! I almost gave up last night till he went by himself and was excited. When his excitement leaves I don't feel like keeping it up. I really don't want this to be a fight.

We have a huge range of potty training ages with my kids so I don't have any huge expectations. My first was 3 1/2, 2nd was nearly 9 years old, 3rd was almost 2 and 4th was 2 3/4. DS will be three 10 days before Christmas Eve. If he were to be out of diapers by then, that would be a fabulous Christmas Present!

What great news!
My DD has absolutely no interest in using the potty. She'll even sit in wet or poopy diapers and not tell me. My son was 4.5 years old so I'll be very excited if she's done by 3.5 years!

I'm sorry Kohlby. They know when they are ready. There really is no pushing it.

I was about to give up and slap a diaper on him today.. we have had one accident in my room, one in the kitchen and one in the loft.. I am doing a great job at staying calm and acting sad or concerned when an accident happens instead of getting angry at all. But just the passed 2 hours DS has been running in to use his potty near me 3 times!! No reminders from me or anything! He's starting to get excited over getting to choose a treat from the Halloween bucket. (His fav are the dumdum suckers)

Now we are waiting for #2.. Please make it into the potty! Or at least a hard surface this time!

We are doing the #2 dance!! :happydog: He is doing it all by himself! I've noticed he does better when I'm not hovering over him! Dosen't mind if I ask him. He was soo excited when he pooped that he ran into me to to come see his poopoo! :clap:

I put a diaper on him last night. He was up at 2:30 acting all uncomfortable and grumpy. took about 45 min to get him to calm down (Thank you Muggins our cat) to get him to realize he had to pee. After he did that all was great and he went back to bed. Woke up dry again around 7:30. Ate breakfast and then went potty. We are trying underpants today! He was really angry with me when I took his diaper off him because he needed something on.

We tried underpants yesterday, but being the prego brained mother I can be, forgot to teach him that he has to pull them down before he goes! He went in them when he sat down to go. He was confused and upset.

We had 4 accidents total yesterday. Lets shoot for less then 4 today! He went more times then I can count! Stickers were the big hit toward the evening.

I'm afraid to hope that it's happening this quick! I'll keep my spirits high! Have Cub Scouts tonight. Not sure how that's going to work but we will come prepared! It's only an hour!

Day 3 had 5 accidents. We put underpants on him and he thought that was free game to poop in them. Good thing he would run to me when he did poop so we could take care of it quick. I had him in underpants for scouts. He wet but we made it through.

Did a diaper last night. I was way to tired to worry to much about it. It was a little wet and he went potty in his potty after he ate breakfast. Pee to him is no big thing anymore.. but Poop. Now, that's exciting!

I have to share. We are going completely pant-less for 2 more days. I gave him and his sis a bath this morning and let them watch a show while I was doing my hair. Kyle came running in saying "Yucky Poopoo! Mama, yucky Poopoo!" I dropped everything and said where. He ran into my room (Nooo not on the carpet!) Out my room into Foyer (Phew Hard floor) Out of the foyer into the living room (Noo not on the carpet!) Into the Kitchen (Phew hard floor) And pointed into his potty near the stools! Whoohoo!!!

Thanks for listening to me update our little triumphs! It helps keep me motivated even through our mishaps. Need to keep an eye out for our evening poop and make sure we can make it to the potty!

The day is almost over. 1 accident all day! He was trying to figure out how to get up on the big potty and didn't make it. One more day of no Underpants then we will give them a try. First 2 days he lived on the potty. Today he ran and went when he felt it, all day long! I had to put the "treats" away and pulled out something alittle more healthy because he was eating soooo much candy! Grapes was his choice. I'm still going to put a diaper on him tonight after he falls asleep.

I left yesterday to get out for a while and take care of some things as well as go to a baby shower for my SIL. Kyle had a rough day with Mama gone. Papa wasn't use to spending the entire time watching for potty cures and getting really excited. He only had one poop accident.. another half poop accident.

Today tho.. He's decided to use the BIG potty! He just went poop in it!! YAYAYAY!! All by homself without Mama saying anything! We still aren't to the stage of underpants yet. I will introduce them today and keep reminding him. He wanted so bad to go to church with Papa and the other kids today but it's not something I wanted to try since he was fighting about the big potty. So we are staying home today.
