Hey ladies....question...

Who's side of the family does it matter when it comes to twins. Ive heard its the womans side that matters and Ive heard that its the mans side of the family that matters.

Im just curious to know if anyone has any thoughts or experience with this. My husbands sister had twins....but there are no twins that I am aware of on my side of the family.

In that aspect, it wouldn't matter if you have twins on your side of the family.

Here's how it works:
If you have faturnal twins tha it is most likely your side of the family. Identical, his side of the family.

Or at least that is what I was told. HTH

Identical twins are not passed through families. Everyone has the same chance of having identical twins.

Fraternal twins are passed through the mother's family.

fraternal twins are caused by the women releasing more then one egg during ovulation, thus it is caused by the womens side of the family.

identical twins are so far thought to be random, however on both my mother and fathers sides there are numerious sets of identical twins in every generation and going far back a set of identical triplets. so I will never throw out the possibilty that identicals are in some way passed on.
