Haley and I have been listening to Christmas music and I am painting ornaments. Haley is next to me painting flat wooden stars that I will then have Mike drill holes in and will use them for my gift tags for Christmas presents instead of using stickers. I'm so excited to be getting started. I've been listening to Christmas music all week and it's really gotten me in the mood.

Anyone else in the spirit already? :)

We are! Lilly has been listening to Christmas music at nap time for a month! We now have Christmas CD's in the car. I am seriuosly considering putting up the tree, the only thing that is holding me back is that I know, without a doubt Brody is going to try to scale his way to the top of it. lol. This should be fun!

Hey, do you mind if I borrow your gift tag idea? Lilly would love that. I promise I won't sell them or anything. *giggle*

Of course! :P

It's a great way to keep her occupied while I'm painting. Last year I bought plain brown gift boxes at the craft store and let her paint them before they were assembled. She used red and white and green and did handprints and stuff on them. Everyone loved the boxes.

I've done some shopping and the kids watched a Christmas movie last night. I usually start getting more in the spirit after Thanksgiving. I really, really enjoy focusing on each holiday , one at a time. I'm still in the fall spirit!

I used to feel the same way, but there isn't enough time between Thanksgiving and Christmas for me to paint/make everything that I need to make. I've been starting earlier each year because it makes the process MUCH more enjoyable for me. I hate having to stay up late nights and lose sleep closer to Christmas.

We did round boxes for Mothers day that the kids painted, and then I stuck b&w photos of them around the bottom of it. They were so cute, and both grandmother loved them (even MIL!) Mom uses hers for pic stoarge and MIL uses heres to hold jewlery.

I'd do the same thing if I made a lot of stuff, too. Unfortunately, I am not at all crafty and generally suck at it, lol

we are in the christmas spirit here too, we already put our tree up!!! I wanted to get it done mostly because I don't know when this baby will make his apearance, but now that it's up it feel christmasy here. :)

Thanksgiving won't be a big deal for us this year, dh has to work so it will just be a nice dinner at home for us.

We're in the spirit. My babies love listening and dancing to Christmas music, and I'm already hand crafting presents. :)
