So I took my boys to the clinic yesterday to get the flu shot. Ds1 hates shots. He gets himself all worked about about it which makes it worse so I didn't tell him he was getting one.
We get there and there 1st words out of him mouth to the nurse was, "Am I going to get a shot?"
She was smart and said she didn't know yet.
We seen the dr and ds1 asked again a little more frantic, "Am I gonna get a shot?"
Well the dr said he didn't give the shots and if david was getting one the nurse would do it.
Well that was all he had to say and ds1 started bawling. I acually felt sorry for the dr because he figured out his mistake and I could tell how bad he felt.
The dr told David to hang on, he would go find out if he had to have a shot.
When he came back in he looked right at David(The dr looked very proud of himself at this point.) and said, "NO. You are NOT getting a shot today. The nurse is going to bring in some medicene to put in your nose and it does NOT hurt. But your baby brother isn't big enough for the medicene in the nose so he as to get a shot."
Well needless to say David was ok with this. He wasn't getting a shot and that is all that mattered to him. Well when the nurse brought the shot in for the baby David got all teary eyed and asked if he could cover his ears so he didn't have to hear the baby cry...
