So I ordered from Amazon and it went through, just said out of stock and they'll let me know when they have a delivery estimate for it. Do you think I'll get it? It's not the seat I WANTED but for that price, it would be nice to have an extra for DH's car if I do indeed get another one later.

So They are okay once they are 5lbs and 24-25 inches. I guess that shouldn't take too long.

These are NOT good for newborns.

Most babies won't fit in them until they are 2-6 months old.

The bottom harness slots need to be AT or BELOW a baby's shoulders, and these are 10 inches high - so a baby won't fit until they have a 10 inch or longer torso.

O/T I once found a brand new pair of high priced (IMO) jeans on a rack that had a sign that said "Everthing $11.99" since there were more than 3 pairs of jeans on the rack they told me they had to give them to me for that price. It made my year! LOL!

They better not. Especially since they are not going to be shipping them until 12-15. That means they could arrive as late as 01-06. I'm going to need the seat at that point. They will have one upset customer if they try to pull something like that.

I'd contact weights and measures and verify that they can do that . . It seems that if the grocery stores and drug stores MUST honor the lower prices then Target and other companies should have to as well, especially since there was no disclaimer posted at the time of order.

dont count on getting the seat at all. dh had gotten a good deal on soem computer equipment online, and they refused him...6 weeks after he had already paid and ordered. they will tell you its on back order for weeks and hope you just cancel the payment. dh had even threatened them with a lawyer and they refused.

In this state, I am obligated by law to sell any product for the advertised price if it was advertised on my premises. I am not obligated by law to honor a newspaper typo or something else to that affect. I *would* and then sue the paper or whatever media was at fault for the difference. That's just smart business sense.

I really have no idea what the law is regarding advertised prices online. I do know that I am exempt from price gouging laws because I do not provide necessary services or good.

I'm guessing that having a published policy is all they need to legally cancel pending orders if the price quoted was too low. I think it's crappy business buit it's likely well within the law.

My sister called last night and talked to a customer service representative at Target and she said that she didnt think that it was a typo and gave her the dates that the seat would be shipped.
