Dh rented it and I'm wondering if we should wait until the kids are in bed or not to watch it. They've watched movies like Honey I Shrunk the kids where kids are in peril, is this movie like that or much scarier peril scenes?

They are 6 and 3 (4 in 2.5 months)

Well, the almost-4 year old might not like the falling or dinasaur scenes, but the 6 year old should enjoy it.

We watched it (Bean is 10 and Gums is 7) and we all loved it. But - we've also seen Jurassic Park, so we're weird. "lol9"

We watched it. I previewed the parts Bean mentioned while dh was at the store with the girls and decided to fast forward those parts or cover eyes of younger dd but she lost interest 10 minutes in anyway, she's still kind of little to be interested in full length movies and the start didn't have any action. (I skipped the scary dream at the start)
.
Older dd decided it was too scary before any scary parts came on and they both ended up in the other room watching Sponge Bob. I'm sure it's because I told her it had a couple scary parts and was reinforcing that nothing was real in the movie and nobody gets hurt. I think if she had stuck around she'd have liked it. Oh well.

Dh and I liked it but it was a short movie! I totally annoyed dh too, I kept saying, that would have been a cool 3-D part! Couldn't help it. It did look like it would have been awesome to see it in 3-D!

Brian (5) LOVED it! We saw it in a (2nd showing) theatre. Brian is begging us to buy it. I don't think it is too scary however, I know a 9 year old it would probably be too scary for. I guess it depends on the child.

My kids are 7 and just turned 4. I was worried too, but DH insisted. I just tried to remind them that it's just pretend. They LOVED it. DS (4) got REALLY excited when he saw the dinosaurs. hehe I thought he would be scared, but nope.
