I can't believe I did this. I feel like shit.

I had the boys all ready for bed and made them a snack. I put Dylan in his chair and was in a hurry because I HAD to go to the bathroom.

Apparentely I didn't buckle him in. :(

I was in the bathroom for maybe 3 minutes. DH was was in the shower or a probably would have heard David yelling for me.

I came back out to crying, both boys.

Dylan was standing in his chair. Poor David was standing beside him in tears trying to keep him from falling.

Thank God David was there to keep his little brother from falling. But I feel like total shit because it scared David so bad. He thought his little brother was going to get hurt.

I honestly did not think there was anyway Dylan could get up in his chair like that, even not buckled in. The tray goes right up to his belly there isn't even a quarter of an inch between.

Now I know better. I can't stop shaking....

I think David needs a really big hug from Mommy for being such a good helper (I don't think the hug back would hurt Mommy either.)

I agree about the hug and that just amazes me how he protected his brother with so much love. Hugs to all of you.

Aww :( It's okay mama. Brag on your lil guy about what a hero he was and he'll feel better.

Mistakes like that happen, don't feel bad. I'm so glad he is ok and how lucky that he has such a protective older brother! Give them both lots of extra loves and snuggles tonight.

What a great mommy you are to have raised such a wonderful little boy!

I know some kids who would taunt the baby and encourage them to climb out, then point and laugh as they lay there crying.

It's ok........your kids will forgive. You are not perfect no one is and mistakes happen.. That is just part of life. That is also how we learn. You are not a bad mom you are a hreat mom for teaching your son's to be very caring and kind young fellas. And don't forgte that they are protective too!!!!

I don't know what I would do without everyones support here! Thanks for all the kind words(even though they made me tear up again)

I made sure David knew how proud I was of him for saving his little brother. It amazes me how protective he is of Dylan. I hope they always stay this close!
