DS loves fruit, and crackers, but we're getting more in to regular food at meals and I seem to be running out of good ideas for his dinner...any thoughts? I feed him most of what we eat, but he's not really keen on meat yet.

What I try to keep on hand - green beans, corn, I tried beets but she hasn't taken to them yet, cheese, yogurt, pepperoni is a huge hit here, mac and cheese, spaghetti, black beans, avacodo, chicken tenders, and no salt pretzels.

All the above. DD especially likes speghetti. She loves beans. I cook them and mash them for her. You could cook them and offer them soft, but whole too.

I cube and steam most of her food to soften it...zuccini, squash, carrots, sweet potato, apples, peas, broccoli....and then put them in snack size zip lock bags and freeze them. That way I just pull out a bag of whatever when I need it.

I also have celery sticks and carrots sticks, cut into manageable pieces, for her to chew on. She gets crackers and those oatmeal baby cookies to munch on too.

My ds has always loved beans, cheese, and cherry tomatoes.

Mine like refried beans, and cottage cheese. And all sorts of pasts, and green peas. Grapes. And bits of whatever I'm eating.

Mostly stuff already mentioned: peas and small diced sweet potatoes (tossed in olive oil and cinnamon then baked) are huge hits here. For the "neatness" factor when we go out, we give this organic cereal that DD loves, called Teddy Puffs. Trader Joe's also makes a cereal called High Fiber O's, which are like Cheerios but with more protein and fiber. We also give DD freeze-dried fruit (no sugar or preservatives added) that Costco carries. Black beans are a favorite, and I make silver-dollar pancakes, sometimes with mashed pumpkin or banana added in. The pancakes have the added benefit of freezing well in between layers of wax paper, and I can just pop the frozen pancakes into the toaster oven when I need something quick. DD also eats bread with humus, melted cheese or peanut butter. She can tear the bread apart with her hands now, but we used to cut them up into little cubes for her. We also eat a lot of Morningstar TVP (Textured Vegetable Protein) here-- their frozen veggie cakes and "meatless meat-balls"

Every thing listed but we still give our 1 year old a jar of the stage 1 or 2 meat a day. She hates the texture of meat and she only has 2 teeth so chewing is difficult. When dad had to give her dinners without me, we buy the Gerber meals (the ones that look like TV dinners) or the past pick ups and she likes the meat in those. Go figure. She gets one like every two weeks.

Pasta pickup, meat sticks, tuna, chicken

Toast is big around here. I can put almost anything on it. A little baby food fruit works well as a spread. soft cheese.
Sweet potatoe fries.
steamed veggies
fruit(we got through tons of fruit here)
pastas
