Problem after 8 months???

I've been nursing my son for 8 months and this morning out of the blue my right breast is sore. No redness, I don't have a fever, its just sore on the right and bottom of the breast. I made sure my son emptied that side and I pumped on the other side so when hes ready to eat again it will be on my right side.

I don't think I have an infection or a blocked duct since I have no other symptons.

Any ideas?

If you have a blocked duct, you may not have any other symptoms.

Is it sore to the touch?

Its very sore to the touch. It feels like when my milk first came in except without the hardness.

Use warm compresses and nurse, nurse, nurse. I will put a sock filled with rice in my bra. You can put it in the microwave so it is warm, and I just wear it around. It really helps move things along.

It's probably a plugged duct.
