Okay I know that in order to be considered self-weaning it's usually past 18 months and I'm not actually thinking he's self weaning I think he's just cutting back. Is this normal? He also has a really bad cold so his nose is all blocked and plugged up making it difficult to nurse (but I did notice him cutting down before the cold started too). Just looking for more info. Thanks!

Is he eating more solids (before the cold)? My daughter eats and drinks about the same amount, but when she has a cold, she eats and drinks very little. I use J&J Soothing vapors bath wash and clears her nose very well, then I use saline and try to clean her nose. That may help with the stuffi nose, therefore eating if that is the reason he is not drinking.

My ds is 11months too. He goes through nursing strikes off and on the last few months where he eats more solids and only nurses a few minutes at a time. Right now he is nursing CONSTANTLY. Like 10 times today already. He always makes up for it in the end.
I do the saline in the nose too. Running a cool air humidifier helps too. Stuffy noses are so miserable.
