So I've been to Gymboree and Children's Place even Target and felt horribly discouraged that the kids will get much needed clothes for Christmas.

For the boys jean are jeans, but gosh everything is either picked over or ugly and it is not even Thanksgiving yet. Kohl's is my next place hopefully I'll do better there.

Yes, I've been especially disappointed with Christmas outfits for boys. It seems like there is a huge selection for girls, but nothing strictly christmas-y for my DS. : ( Only black and red plaid. ugh.

I saw some really cute boy holiday sweaters at Macy's this weekend. I don't have boys so I bought one for my friend's DS.

Nope. I just returned from clothes shopping and I found so much, it was hard to not buy everything.

I don't shop for DS1, though. He's picky and too 'teenish' to let his mom buy clothes.

LOL this is why dd3 has more clothes and shoes that dd1 and 2. I like picking out their clothes but they are too picky. I actually picked out a skirt for dd2 at the Children's Place and she liked it.... I got lucky.

Thanks it has been a long hard road, but I can say without a doubt we are the better for it. I don't think it is over as the economy is not exactly healthy, but at least for our family things are beginning to turn.

I'm so glad things are starting to get better for your family. :)

I haven't really looked. I love getting the babyish clothes for my 12 mo old son, though. Like, the peter pan collars and smocking on the front. I do most of my shopping online. Living in the Middle of Nowhere, I don't have much of a choice.

I tend to do most of my shopping on-line. I got a 20% of gymboree card and wasn't overly impressed with the selection on-line that were on sale. I usually buy next year's clothes a year ahead. I got a slew of cute clothes at great prices for DD this winter last year through Gymboree - but I think it was January when I bought them. There's too much competition right now! I buy when others stop buying instead!
