Everything's looking good with the baby, and my due date is less than 3 weeks away now, which I'm so excited about.

I was disappointed about the GBS test being positive, because now I'll have to go into the hospital right away if my water breaks, and earlier in labor than I would have otherwise.

I'm trying for a non-medicated birth this time, and it seemed like staying home until I was well into active labor was a good strategy, but now I'll need to go in to get the antibiotics. At least my doctor said after they've given them to me, they'll cap my IV so I can move around freely -- he really is great!

Sorry about the GBS positive hun. Blah!! There really is still no reason you can't go natural. It would be much nicer laboring at home. Stick to your guns and let them know what it is you want to do. Your almost done! Horray!

That stinks!!!!!!! Hopefully the expierence will be everything you want. I do have to say it is VERY important to get the antibiotic. GBS can be a very nasty infection

Sorry about the GBS. :( My midwife actually told me that she would refuse antibiotics if she came back positive, but that's just her personal opinion. She's very anti-ABX in many cases. I came back positive at 36 weeks, but after two weeks of Hibiclens treatments, I came back negative, so we didn't bother with the IV ABX during labor.

In most cases, AFAIK, it doesn't interfere with natural labor or mobility during labor, so I would try not to worry.
