When I had my first baby, we had a full sized Fisher Price kind, which was fine. As she got older, we converted to the Fisher Price Healthy Care booster seat, which buckles into your own dining chair. We used that one with her until she was about 3 and have used it since dd2 has been on solids.

I like it much better b/c it's less obstructive around the dinner table and super easy to clean (no crevices)--and it costs about $25 at WalMart!
