If I have no increase in discharge, and no signs of bloody show, are my contractions just BH? They are regular, and I have dilated a bit, but it's been over the course of several days. I was only at 2 monday.

How close are your contractions?
(I'm a bit disappointed after the other threads that this isn't a grammar thread. ;) I really thought it was.)

They've been about 4 min apart for the last hour or so. Last night they were six minutes apart for 3 hours though! I feel like I'm being labor-teased. :D

If he is born tomorrow he will share his b-day with my dd who will be 2 tomorrow.
Are they increasing in strength because contractions that are 4min apart for an entire hour, lasting 30 to 45 secs= active labor and you should call your doctor or head to L&D.

More frequent, but not stronger really.

try and get some sleep, if its the real thing it will wake you.
I had the hell of bh contractions for weeks. and several trips to the hosptial where even on the moniter the contractions were strong enough to fool the staff a few times, but no dialating.

Well I'm still pregnant and contracting. I hate it when contractions get my hopes up! lol
Oh well. At least I have another day of getting things ready. :)

I preferred contracting at home, so *I didn't head to the hospital until my contractions were two minutes apart with Son.
I hated the thought of being in a hospital bed, so even though we had about a half hour drive, I took a shower, dried and curled my hair and put on make-up so I wouldn't have to leave home. We did make it in time, but for DH it was a little too close for comfort ~ snort ~
*Not advised or recommended!

:D I hate being stuck in that l&d bed too! I'm going to wait as long as I can to go in. My mom will be here for me and she delivered 2 of her grandbabies herself, so I feel confident with her. She was a L&D nurse for 25+ years. I always told her she should have become a midwife.
