the lump

Just wondering if anyone ever had this happen to them... well i had a case of either a really bad clogged duct... or mild mastitis... well i got rid of it (im a pro at this after bfding 4 babies) w/o abx but my man decided to not feed on that side~ well he is just now starting to feed better on that side but I noticed that where i had the clogged duct i have a fairly large lump~ not painful or anything... but its been several days since the redness etc has gone.. and yet the lump remains. I have never had this occur and its freakin me out! any thoughts?

I would get it checked out. Better to be safe than sorry. Congrats on the breastfeeding all of those LO's! Kudos to you!

You could try some frequent hot soaks, to see if the clog might still be there. I would recommend a minimum of twenty minutes, followed by some rigorous circular massage and finally see if you can hand express milk from the area.

If you can't get it to go away, I would follow up with your Gyno.
