Hello! My son, John, was born 8-29-08 at 41 weeks and weighed 8 lbs, 8 oz. We had a rough start with blocked ducts and mastitis the first two months because we couldn't find anyone to snip his tied tongue. He gained weight very well though and stayed at about the 70-75 percentile. I was very stubborn and kept feeding him up o 18 hours per day to ensure he got enough. Finally, the children's hospital in the nearest big city did it as an out-patient procedure. The difference was immediate and he and I are even happier now! He is a very vigorous, happy, little boy.
My husband and I are both Iraq war veterans and in our mid-30s. He works full-time as a civilian and I am taking a year off from graduate school to raise John. I also manage our cattle ranch. The BabyBjorn and our all-terrain stroller are essential for doing the outside chores with a young baby!
