PLEASE forgive me for being so full of questions lately, but I am going crazy! (And I appreciate all of your knowledgeable advice).
OK, as you know, if you've read all of my crazy posts lately, my LO is 7 weeks old and is just getting over RSV (and was dx with reflux). Anyway, I had been EP while he couldn't nurse (too congested), but I have been back to BF for the past 3 days now (thank goodness!!). Before he got sick, he was a great little nurser. He would nurse about 10-15 minutes per side, every 2 hours (and he would cluster feed at night).
Now, things are not so good. He will only nurse for 7 minutes on ONE side, and then he's done. I can't get him to nurse again. However, he is doing that almost every hour...although very inconsistently. And he is much more clingy and fussy than normal.
What's going on? Help! I know that 7 minutes can't be enough time. And, is he even getting any of the hindmilk by nursing for such a short time? Why doesn't he want to nurse off of the other side?
I am so confused, and I don't know what to do. I know someone here will know what's going on!
thanks in advance,
Cara
