Soooo my LO has 2 teeth  but now it seems like when he latches on I can feel his teeth somewhat. Just a little or something more like a tight latch? Add to that the weird postions he tries to nurse in and that makes a uncomfortable boobie.
Anyway is it normal to feel a tightness when babies get their bottom teeth? Or does that mean he truly has a shallow latch (something I suspect of sometimes)
Thanks in advance ladies...

Do you feel any pain while he is actaully drinking? If you are then he may not be latched on correctly because his tongue would be sitting between his bottom teeth and your nipple.
As for a shallow latch...this may be a bit extreme and no doubt it would have been picked up by now but could he have a mild degree of tongue tie? Is he able to lift it to the roof of his mouth easily and freely.
If not then he may just be playing or trying to use his teeth to sense your nipple...kind of like how a baby would normally bite on a toy or feel around it with their teeth.
I hope it passes for you and that breastfeeding becomes more comfortable. Maybe you can encourage him to lie or sit still during a feed by wearing a really long necklace that he can play with while he feeds...
Good luck with it.

If the latch is uncomfortable then unlatch him and try again. Go back to the basics with position and the open wide thing. Some babies do have to relearn how to latch when they get teeth. My son had some issues but nothing major.
