Tiff, since there were only b/w photos when I was younger, this is a studio portrait and they all had to be hand-tinted :)

Since my mom's best friend's dad owned the portrait studio, I have a lot of baby pics, but they are all in my baby book, which is in the cedar chest. This one happened to be in my computer from when Liam was little, because I wanted to compare us at the age...he did favor me a bit, then!

The hairstyle was a do-it-yerself job. I cropped out the sisters who were sporting similar styles.

I did once have a picture of me at five months old, but it's long been lost. I remember that I was wearing a red dress with a white Poodle on it. Pretty cool considering how much of a white Poodle (Standards, mostly) lover I am now.

Ayup. But at least Daddy made sure to tell us not to sit against the tailgate as we were barreling down the highway. Safety first and all. Unless we were going short distances at low speed. Then we could sit on the tailgate. "Hold that baby tight." I don't know anyone who used a car seat. Or a seatbelt for that matter.

Well, I'll be damned! That explains why my great-uncle who was pig farmer had a tailgate on his truck! :happy:

Speaking of unsafe vehicles ~ when I was a sophomore in high school, my dad bought a '57 Chevy (which was all the rage back then) as second car. Unfortunately, his had seen it's better days and had big holes in the floorboard in front. When I rode with him, I'd have to straddle the holes with my legs, and I could see the pavement beneath us rushing by. I was always afraid one of my legs might slip through the hole and get ripped off, so I sat veeeeeeeery still!!
