Ugh, I hate waiting to lose weight! I practically lost the first 20 pounds overnight and now I will lose very very slowly (logically I know that is best as it is healthier than losing too fast) BUT, I have NOTHING that fits. Maternity stuff is too big and I have one pair of jeans that I can get on, but those stretch out every time I wear them so they fall off my butt. Everything else is too small. I never really did find anything that fit WELL after the first two kids, but anyway, to get to the point...

I hate to go shopping and spend money on clothes that will be too big in less than 6 months (I hope anyway), but if I don't buy SOMETHING I will continue to feel like shit wearing pajama pants everyday. I already feel depressed and sickened by how I look so I thought maybe if I bought something that fits and maybe get my haircut or something I might feel somewhat human again!

I was thinking of trying the Right Fit jeans from Lane Bryant - has anyone tried them? I was a size 10 before Cameron, but I am guessing maybe I might be a 14 or 16 right now? I would like to find a wide waistband to hide my c-section flap and love handles - any suggestions?

I shopped at a consignment shop for clothes until I reached my desired weight.

Yeah, that is a great idea, but the one nearest me is very expensive so I would be better off buying new and then selling on ebay or something. I don't have much luck finding anything in my sizre either since I am short.

I had the same problem! I bought a pair of new jeans at 8 wks b/c I hoped I would stay a 6 - but I kept shrinking and am now in my old clothes. I should have gone to goodwill, but I had a store charge and a coupon. So they weren't "new" priced.

I had the same problem. I'd gain 35-55 pounds and lose over half the first two weeks, but then the rest took about 6mos to lose. I ended up just buying some cheap (Wal Mart, Kmart, etc) clothes to get me through those times. As for tops, I usually just did loose fitting button downs.

I was usually an 8-10 before pregnancy and once I got out of maternity clothes I was about a 14. Plus size did not work, though, because in addition to the waist being bigger, so was everything elese. Only my belly was fat, not my legs and butt.

Actually, the jeans that fit me for about the first 5mos of pregnancy also fit me for several months afterwards. The kind that looked normal in the front and just had elastic in the back (like toddler jeans, lol), not the kind w/ the tummy panel).

Do you not have a goodwill? Ebay maybe?
