How to treat? Sure, I can web search but I NEED to hear personal experiences. Holy shit it hurts. Didn't cry in labor, but sure am over this.

I second this suggestion. I opened a can of Eagle Brand Condensed Sweetened Milk I had boiled to make caramel (no one told me to let it cool before I punctured the lid) and the hot caramel spewed out all over my face, eyelids and hands. I used Silvadene on the burns faithfully and not only did it heal the burns, there are absolutely no scars.
Take some otc medication (tylenol, ibuprofen) for the pain, if you need to.

I did, a couple hours ago - re: tylenol. I've been soaking my fingers in cold water, it lessens the stinging, but as soon as I pull them out... owww. Kenny got some burn cream since he couldn't find silverdine. It has lidocaine in it.

I'm not sure whether you have to have a prescription for Silvadene or if it's OTC now, but since you couldn't find it, I'd call your PCP and ask for a prescription. It is definitely worth the time and trouble.

To my knowledge silvadene it OTC but you have to order it special trough the pharmacy. Hope the burns feel better fast. Steam burns are awful!

I use vinegar to soak burns in and it works great...
I've also used freshly expressed breastmilk.
Both got rid of blisters, redness, and tenderness within a couple hours.

Dermaplast helps, but the Silvadene is the best. I hope you feel better.
