Garth rocked the house with "Shout," Beyonce's rendition of "America, the Beautiful" brought tears to my eyes, Stevie Wonder only gets better with age, and Pete Seeger...what can't be said about him? ::grin:: Love the man!

The whole program was inspiring, and I love it that both Obamas and their girls have fun! This country is in dire need of heartfelt smiles and some booty shakin'!

I'm meaning to catch the re-airing of it on HBO.

My hope is that words will be followed by actions.

My cousin called me in excitement over an announcement he heard that they will be rid of the "Don't ask, don't tell" policy and gays can serve openly. He was also happy that at least I was one family member that was excited with him. My biggest issue was that now if something happens to them that they have recourse instead of having to be silent.
