I started my Daughter eating solid food at around 5 months. Ever since my breast milk has been lower. Is it normal for it to stop making as much? She never seems satisfied with how much milk im producing. (she loves milk) she Drinks BM 3 times and has 3 regular meals a day is that good? is she getting enough BM? I used to mix BM in with her Cereal till the doctor told me to soften her poo poos i should add Juice instead.. I've been doing it but I dont see any improvements with her poop? and im not so sure about all that Juice? Is it OK? Shes 7 months now, I just wanna do whats best.. any help?
Thank you!!!

Honestly, at just 7 months, I'd get rid of the cereal, cut back just a little on the solids overall (maybe 2 meals and a snack) and breastfeed more often. And no juice. Really there's not need for it. BM can and will have the same softening effect.
Your supply will dip if she's not nursing as often. You tend to make just as much as they need.
Has she been constipated? Or is it just a little more solid?
ETA: Welcome to the boards!! : ) I'm sure there will be some others on before too long to give you some more help!

It sounds like she's getting more solids than she can easily digest. Offering her breastmilk more often should help, along with cutting way back on the solids.

There's lots of great info on solids while breastfeeding here.... http://kellymom.com/nutrition/solids/solids-how.html
Hope this helps!

I agree with Newmum that she's probably getting more solids than she needs at her age, and that has caused a dip in your supply. Cut back on the solids, offer to breastfeed more, and your supply should increase in a few days. That will help with the painful pooping, too.
Keep in mind that breastmilk should be her MAIN source of nutrition for the entire first year.

If you are inclined to follow pp's advice, a nursing marathon over the coming weekend could help you bounce back really fast. The idea is to lounge in bed as much as you can, both of you naked from the waist up and lost and lost of skin contact and lots of nursing (skin contact helps initiate nursing). The more she'll nurse the more you'll make. I'd always nurse her BEFORE feeding her any solids.
At 7 mo my three kids ate one, sometimes two meals a day. Meals consisted of a few spoon fulls. Two were self feeders so most of that ended up in their hair or face or the floor :).

Instead of juice a jar of pureed prunes helps greatly with constipation. My guess is that the iron from the cereal makes her constipated.

my dd is 6 months and i started her cereal at 5 months also. She is still only having cereal and nursing. She nurses 6 times a day and cereal once a day right now. On mondays and wednesdays she nurses 8 times and cereal once because I have classes those days and i want her to nurse.
I did notice that my dd poops better now that she is on rice cereal then when she was on oatmeal. And I still mix her cereal with bm because thats how i want her to have it.
