We've been really struggling with my son over the past few months. Things have turned around a good bit since Anna was born (I know, only 6 weeks -- but both his teacher and therapist have been very struck by it). I do think *part* of it was anxiety over the coming baby, whom he now adores.
He still has ADHD and some sensory issues, but is doing better socially at school. He's been able to start full-day K for 3 days/week (YAY!), and is even going to be able through good behavior to earn time with the gifted and talented teacher.
The teacher has also started making some small accomodations for him, like letting him walk the hot lunch list to the office and letting him hop there to get some of his energy out.
Given that people were telling us he had Asperger's in September, this is a huge step forward for all of us. Knock on wood that it lasts.
