Sassy will be walking in the 3-Day again this year! Once more, we'll be raffling off handmade items donated by our members, as well as gift certificates, and a few surprises to help raise money to support her walk.

I've made a list of those who volunteered to make and/or donate something in the other thread, but if your circumstances have changed and you feel you are unable to contribute at this time, we will be holding a second raffle in a couple of months. Please contact me if you volunteered, but won't be able to donate for this raffle.

If you would still like to contribute something for this raffle, it's not too late and additional donations would be appreciated! Just let me know by PM, or post on this thread. We also will accept donations from family members or friends!

Anonymous donations are also welcome and your contribution will be kept private.

PrincessEmilysMom will be running the actual raffle with computer generated raffle numbers. Prizes will be awarded according to the order in which the winning numbers are selected by computer.

Raffle tickets will be $1/ticket or $5/6 tickets and will be available for purchase from PrincessEmilysMom or me beginning February 28. Anyone is welcome to purchase tickets, so let your friends and families know. :)

IMPORTANT DATES

For those of you donating:

On or before Thursday, February 26, I'd like to have a picture (or pictures) to post on the board. If you wish to post it yourself on this thread, please feel free to do so. If you'd like for me to post it, please let me know and I'll PM you my email address.

Prizes should be ready to ship: March 14 and no later than March 17

RAFFLE: February 28 - March 12

Prize Winners notified and announced: March 13 at 2:00 pm

If you wish to make cash donations, or want to learn more about the 3-day Sassy is walking in, you can do so by going to this website:

www.the3day.org/goto/keziah

I've also set up a Three-Day Raffle paypal account, so if you'd rather send your donation there, please contact me by PM. This paypal is in no way associated with my private bank account; it will be used strictly for raffle proceeds and donations.

If you have ANY questions, please don't hesistate to contact me. If I don't know the answer, I'll find out and get back to you.

My donations for the raffle will all be made in honor of my sister, Leslie Williams, who is a breast cancer survivor. Here's a picture of her celebrating life!

Here is the item my mom made. It is a Crochet Hook Keeper. Crochet hooks not included. ;)

Tied closed with light pink rose, darker green leaves detail:
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e309/mmdrennan/3dayitems002.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Open:
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"><img src="http://i42.photobucket.com/albums/e309/mmdrennan/3dayitems003.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The bottom has a flap so the hooks don't slip out. The Tunisian stitch provides horizontal loops that you can slip your hooks into however you want. The loops can hold up N size or larger hooks (size N is largest we had). We were able to slip in over 15 hooks of various sizes:

I would like to donate the following items from The Farmers Wife.

All of the items are handcrafted. All photos are representative of the actual item you will win. Paper patterns, colors, embellishments and layout may vary. The following are wood crafts that are decoupaged and adorned with papers and "dodads".

I am putting these up in honour of my Sister-in-law, Aimee, who was diagnosed with bilateral type 3 breast cancer at 27. She's an awesome lady and a true fighter, but even more she's a SURVIVOR!!! I LOVE you Aimee!!

Oh, this top looks awkward on my toddlerkin because it's a size 5/6 on a mannequin meant for toddler size. This is what it looks like on Alaina:

For all the times I was in the room for many procedures, including (but not limited to) localizations, biopsies and just plan US and mammos. Here is to everyone that has had or knows anyone that has or has had breast cancer. Thank you Sassy for walking. You are a true inspiration.

Up for grabs is the ever popular Miracle Salve Plus that's good for so many skin related things. The offer is for the large 6 oz size. It's handmade and in my experience has been wonderful for several things from itchy mystery rashes to after-shaving tenderness. I love this stuff and look forward to sharing it. It will be shipped straight to the recipient from where it originates.

From the website:
Miracle Salve Plus - All the goodness of Miracle Salve, plus the addition of Oregon Grape Root and essential oils of tea tree and thyme, which are known for their bacteria, Candida, and fungus-fighting properties. Can be applied to thrushy nipples after feedings, yeast-related diaper rashes, jock itch, athlete's foot, ringworm, or other topical infections.

The hats I made are super easy and done on circular knitting looms. It's so easy that last year my 10 yr old son made one to donate to Hats for the Homeless. ANYBODY could make one of those hats if they had a loom.

The scarf I made is crocheted. I'm much better at crocheting than knitting.
