I took Alana to Greenville today to have her heart murmur checked out one more time. Everything is ok with it and she will outgrow it. She is now almost 30 lbs. and 37.5 inches tall.
On the way home I let my fiance drive my SUV I just got back in November. Dallas, Alana, and I all fell asleep on the way home. I woke up to the SUV going out of control and we hit the ditch. We rolled I don't know how many times, it seemed like alot at the time. We landed on the drivers side and all I could think about was oh my god the kids, I got to get them out. I got my door open, which was hard since it was standing on one side and had my fiance get the kids out of their seats and hand them to me once I got out.
Luckly they did not get hurt at all. I was concerned alot about both but I was really afraid for Dallas since his side hit the road. His carseat protected him on both sides. They both just had a couple of little straches and were stunned. When I got them out I realized after we hit the ditch it rolled more and we ended up on the drivers side on a dirt road by some railroad tracks. I was so thankful Austin and Andrew were not there, especially Austin since he does not sit in a carseat and he would have only been in a lap belt at the time. I told my fiance this is why I worry about having good safe carseats for my kids. I would hate to think what would have happened if Alana was in a booster seat like her cousins her age.
