Looks typical to me.

Having said that, (and not because I'm implying anything), there is a video library at autism speaks .org (http://www.autismspeaks.org/video/glossary.php?WT.svl=Text_Links) that includes typical as well as autistic developmental behaviors. Maybe you can dig around there.

Looks typical and hyper to me. He is steady when reaching. I would say he is trying to do 2 and 3 things at once. LOL he wants to eat, chew the spoon, and drum all at the same time. He is adorable by the way!!

And by the way- I see your floating baby there- congrats to you!!

thanks, jh :)
I'm so paranoid sometimes...
It doesn't help that I'm a first time mama with no friends with babies either... I'm lucky that I found these boards :)

My baby is the same age. She does the same thing, and it is almost as if they can't quit hitting. I think they get so busy trying to do everything that they forget exactly what it is they want to do and stick with the last thing they were doing until they figure it out again. :)

Yes, it looks fairly typical to me. But. If you even have the slightest mommy alarms going off, it does not hurt to have him evaluated by EI. Don't ignore them if you have them.

DS used to pat a cake with the back of his hands and instantly my alarm bells went nuts. I took him to his ped and told her and she blew it off..she did ask me what I thought was the problem and I said "Something is not right neurologically" and she asked why I thought that and all I could say was "My stomach says so". I WAS right and ended up having him evaluated much later because I ignored my instincts and let her blow me off several times.
