Hi there,

I'm EBF and not pumping at all. My DD is 3.5 weeks old and now that we have sort of a routine, I realize I could easily pump once a day - I'd like to build up a stock for when I return to work in June. On the other hand, I feel like things are going so well with my supply, etc - it seems to be totally tailored to her needs and I'm a little nervous to mess with that.

Please let me know your thoughts...will once a day pumping throw things off?

THANK YOU!!

Hi,
Don't be nervous, you are doing great! It seems that you still have a little time before you have to go back to work in June, so I would give it another few weeks before you start to pump. You will be able to build a supply of breastmilk before you go back. If you will also be pumping when at work, remember that you will be bringing that milk back to your baby as well.

All the best,
Marta

Thank you! That's what I'll do then - maybe wait another 2 - 3 weeks to start. I really appreciate the advice - and encouragement!

You are really doing great. There is nothing wrong to get a 'second opinion' (to the one that you have) so come back if you have any other questions.

All the best,
Marta
