Yes, I will call the Pedi, but they don't open for an hour and we had a "blizzard" here last night so I'm not sure if they'll be open. On a good note, if they are, they'll likely have plenty of openings to see us.. if I can dig out.
Leah has had a pretty nasty cold for about 10 days and last night her eyes started looking pretty gross. The actual eye isn't red and she doesn't seem to be bothered by it, but they are super crusty and red on her lids and under the eyes. I thought pink eye manifested itself by actual redness on the eye itself coupled with itchiness. She doesn't really rub them or anything, but they look really gross.
The grossness:

My guess would be an infection, either viral or bacterial. Her lids look swollen, too. They can give you a drop that is an antibiotic and steroid mixed that should cover both bases and help. You can always try some breastmilk. Especially if you can't get her in today.

My littlest dd often shows her sickness mostly in her eyes. So, if she has a bad cold her eyes look just like your dd's. Breastmilk works wonders. You can either play a game with her and squirt it directly into her eyes (wash your hands well). Or you can express some and use a dropper to drop a bit into her eyes. She might object at first, but it is very soothing. Dh was actually lamenting the fact that I am no longer lactating b/c he got something in his eye the other night. He was able to get it out, but his eye was very sore. In the past a squirt of breastmilk cleared that sort of pain right up.

I use the breastmilk in the eyedropper myself, I am not accurate enough to aim and squirt. According to my mom my GM was, she tells a story of when she picked some hot peppers for my GF and then rubbed her eyes. She remembers my GM squirting her in the eyes, straight from the tap and getting instant relief. Then my GM promptly yelled at my GF for allowing a child to pick hot peppers.

You can also try chamomile tea if you have it. We've had pink eye twice in the house and the tea took care of it both times. I brewed it to 4X drinking strength and both dropped it in my and ds's eyes and soaked cotton pads in tea and put them over our eyes. It feels really good if you put it in just a bit warm too!

It looks like it to me but it's hard for me to see her eyes, just the goop, in the pic. I second (or third?) breastmilk in the eyes.

I agree that you should squirt some breast milk in there.

It could be, but there are other infections other than pink eye.
