Can you come out and play? I thought you were no longer teaching. What gives?

Hi Judy! Do come play! I've got to go clean up the kitchen, but then I'll be around on and off the rest of the day and evening ~

I guess the devil did go down to Georgia and hell froze over.

I don't think that spin on the metaphor worked, but it is the best I an do. sigh

LOL...last night she said all they were getting was sleet, but perhaps they got some snow after that.

Either way they got some winter weather and even though I wouldn't wish snow or sleet on anyone, I've got to say I'm glad that shit fell on someone other than us this time!

It did snow in Georgia but not here. All we got was sleet, yet Atlanta, Macon, Warner Robins, and even further south got snow. I'm about an hour northwest of Atlanta, but even the counties just south of me got snow.

I'm not teaching right now unless you count homeschooling. I taught on a limited contract last school year (2007-2008) from December through May. Why do you ask?

LOL. I don't teach in a school setting, but I still have an important kid to educate. :p He is now on his way to fencing, though; dh took him.

Has he competed recently?

JudyJudyJudy

He's only been in two competitions. He got 2nd in one and 3rd in the other. While I'm perfectly happy with that, it kills me that in competition he'll let the same kids beat him whom he beat in practice or the prequalifying rounds!

Velcro wall? Icon is a Genius.

I saw one on Letterman 15 years ago and I've always wanted one, lol. People have frequently said "Where are your kids while you sit here all day posting on the internet?" I'd like to say I had them velcroed (sp?) to a wall and that they were perfectly safe. ;) As it happens, my parents are visiting and they took them out yesterday. I sat here, literally, all day, doing nothing but surfing the net, eating cookies and drinking Baileys (good for dipping cookies).

I won't have as much time to waste today. Alas.
