Did you cramp for a long time? I have had period like cramps everyday for the past several weeks (I am 10 weeks postpartum) and I keep thinking maybe AF is coming back already, but then nothing. Just curious if it is something with the c-sections or something else. Thanks!

I've had 3 and then that abdominal cerclage that opens you up like a c-section. I do remember being very sore after DS because of the scar tissue. It would cramp sometimes and then pull and feel like it was stinging. I honestly don't remember how long it was the last time in 2006. All I know is that now my periods are horrible and I have to take bcp so that it will shorten the length and heaviness. I am not sure that has anything to do with the c-section,though.

I have never had cramping (that I remember) after the first week or two.

I still have some cramping, especially when i have let downs. My DS is now 5 months old.
I had the same with DS1, and it lasted till 8-9 months (just when all sensation had returned to the site of the c-section. I never got my period spontaneously again after I weaned DS1, (DS2 is result from fertility treatments) so i can't comment on getting PPAFs.

If it's cramping that is hurting, I would call the OB if I were in your shoes.
I am still numb in my lower, lower abdomen and it's been since 2006. I joke with dh that they cauterized too much but I do wonder if they did sometimes.

It is more annoying than painful, but then I tolerate pain pretty well. It is also in my left lower back too.
