Hi, my nephew is 9 months old. I care for him during the week while his mom is at work. She pumps at work and usually gets about 10-15 oz. per day. Nephew has been drinking all of the breastmilk and is getting hungry a couple of hours before she picks him up. I think he is having a growth spurt!
He had started taking solids a couple of weeks ago, but is now refusing anything other than breastmilk. Is there anything I can mix up that he may be more willing to take? We can use any and all tips please!

It's not uncommon for a breastfed baby to refuse solids and just wait until mom returns. The best thing to do is just continue to offer a wide variety of solid foods, both pureed foods that you would feed him, as well as finger foods that he can feed himself.
I assume that the mom is gone for an average length work day (8-10 hours)? If that's the case, then 10-15 oz. of breastmilk should be a sufficient amount. Make sure that when you offer the milk, you're doing so in small (2-3 oz.) quantities, using a slow flow nipple and pausing for a minute or two between ounces to burp baby, in order to avoid overfeeding. If you give a fast flow nipple and feed the baby a larger quantity, they will tend to drink it faster and eat more than they need (not realizing that they're full right away).

Yes , she works normal hours. So I guess I was doing it right in the first place. He was drinking the 3-4oz through a slow flow nipple, but I got worried he wasn't eating enough because he would get bored and only take about two oz./feeding, so recently switched to the faster flow nipples. It all makes sense now. Thank you! I will switch back to the slow flow immediately.
