How long will that pump motor last?

I'm thinking of giving my Medela Pump in Style to my sister-in-law, if she wants it. I used that sucker at least five days a week for nearly a year. Wondering how long the motors are supposed to last? It seems good to me but I'd hate to have it quite on her. Any insights?

I bought my PIS in February of 2000 shortly after ds was born. I used it a minimum of an hour (not at once ~lol~ but all together) per day every day for nearly a year and a half. Then I loaned it to my sis. I'm not sure how much use she put on it but I know she used it semi regularly for a year.

Now we are trading it back and forth every week or 2 as we are both nursing babies again and see no reason to spend the money for a second one right now. It's getting used daily again... but not as long since neither of us has an outside job (she owns her own business and I am unemployed).

So far it has held up just fine. ;-)
