With all the critizism lately of what our President is doing, today I watched an episode of History Detectives, which talked about the great depression, Roosevelt's measures, and how people got angry at him, accusing him to be a communist even and it got me thinking about what is happening these days.
We are in a different era, but I don't think we know any more than way back when about what needs to be done. Back in the 30s business became a lot more regulated by government and that was a huge issue. I am a naturalized American, so my knowledge of US history isn't that great (hence my enthusiasm for that TV program), but I think that in the end, Roosevelt's policies weren't too shabby. So just maybe, Obama might be right as well.
