I bumped the thread about Alex recently posted for anyone needing the backstory. When the newer news story is published, probably tomorrow since it airs tonight, I'll post an update with the link.

That man is just sick. He needs to be locked up forever. I can't believe he was still walking around and never tried for the first case yet. The system there needs to get off their asses and get him in jail ASAP before he does this yet again.

A 6 month old baby should have never been hurt in the first place. If they had done their jobs that baby would be just fine. I hope that man rots in jail for what he has done to those poor babies.

Find out which judge let him out on bond. This should have never happened. It's pretty clear that if someone abuses an innocent child like that he is a danger to other children. That judge's name needs to be made public. You could contact the person who wrote this story and tell him about the judge. Maybe there are other cases where this judge was very lenient and this could get him (or her) in trouble. It might be a good story for the papers.

It's very possible the mom didn't know. The baby is 6 months old, and he's not the father, so they may have been dating only a few months, and I doubt this is the sort of thing he advertises to people. If that's the case I imagine this woman will regret for the rest of her life having trusted this man with her child.

The people who let him off the hook to begin with though, make me really sick. I can't believe he was never even tried after what he did to that little boy.

Yes, you did. I'm not at all saying I think it's OK for a mom to beat her children in ANY way, but my disgust is even greater for a woman who lets her boyfriend beat her kids just so she can have HIM. It's hard to put into words exactly what I'm trying to say. Again, not in any way excusing a mother that is an abuser, but it's just an extra ounce of evil to sit back and allow your boyfriend to do it just so he won't leave you.

How do you know that she LET him do this? Thats crap. You know parents who use daycare providors usually only meet with them once or twice before allowing them to be with their children. And to be completely honest, I have been doing daycare for 5 years and have never even once been asked for references. Not once.

It is almost impossible to know who someone truely is. Not to mention that if she didn't know his back history then he probably seemed like a nice guy. Abusers don't look and act like abusers all the time. If that was the case abusers would be able to be picked out of society before anyone is hurt.

Unbelievable. This is why I have so little faith in our legal system to protect children. CPS checked on little Alex a month before he was tortured because his grandparents knew he was being neglected and CPS did nothing. Then he does what he does and he's still walking around, la di da, we don't know why he's not been tried yet.

I am so disgusted by this. I do believe that cases like this are changing my feelings about the death penalty. I would be thrilled if this guy got it.

I'd have to know more of the mother's history Tweet. I think it's entirely possible for her to not of known, especially if she was new to the area. I heard about it on here and I never saw it on national news. Then when I tried to google his name and find out what had happened as far as trial and the case, nada, not even the original news story.

I've e-mailed the TV station to ask if they know what the mother's case disposition was.
