I'm feeling overwhelmed. It's a low energy day and I've got lots of piddly things to do. Here's my list;what would you tackle first?

To do
--------
* Laundry-wash and some to put away. Ok, a lot to put away. 4 Baskets
* phone calls to pharmacist and occupational therapist
* Sweep and mop kitchen and living room
* Clean counters...again
* Dishes need to be unloaded and a few put in to clear out sinks
* Dd's writing lesson (today she's writing a letter to someone)
*Dd's subtraction page ( I'll be coming up with a couple problems)
* pick up dog poop (I'm wondering if I should ask DH if he'll do a trade)
* Clean main bathroom
-----------------------------

Tonight I have a baby shower to shop for,but am not worried about that.

I love to shop for baby stuff so I would go shopping first. ;)

Really though I would start with the dishes cause once the sink is clean you may be motivated to clean the counters and the floors will be next and so on. Then once the house is clean you can sit and help you dd in a nice clean home.

I would make the phone calls first. :) Once they are done, they are done and stay done. I would then do the dishes, clean off the cabinets, then sweep and mop. (that is the order I do it at my house)

1. phone calls to pharmacist and occupational therapist
2. Clean main bathroom

Laundry-wash and some to put away. I'd wait for the kids to be asleep and do one load then, and fold while watching TV. I usually put the folded stuff organized by person/drawer it goes in and place it like that back in my baskets (I have two) and the actual putting it away is done the next morning and is pretty fast. If you have too much laundry, I'd stack it in the living room and leave it there until you put away the first batch in the morning.

3. Sweep and mop kitchen and living room - on a low energy day I'd only sweep.

4. Clean counters...again - quick rub with some diaper wipes ;)

5. Involve dcs with unloading dishes and then put in to clear out sinks

6. Dd's writing lesson (today she's writing a letter to someone)
7. Dd's subtraction page ( I'll be coming up with a couple problems)
defer one of those to dh.

Yes, what you wrote in parentesis -* pick up dog poop (I'm wondering if I should ask DH if he'll do a trade)
*

I always find that starting with the room that is less messy makes me feel like I have accomplished more than I really did. :)

Gah. I haven't gotten squat done yet. Man, the kids are bottomless pits today! I got tired of making food so I roped dd1 into making sandwiches,lol.

Ima, that sounds good! I think with the bathroom I'm going to sipe it down with my sanitizer wipes and scrub the toilet. The floor in there is done already, at least.

I'm now going to do the counters and dishes since DD did make a little mess . She cleaned up most of it, but you know how that can go sometimes!

Get rid of some of the laundry baskets. Then you won't have anywhere to put the clean clothes. :p

In all seriousness, as big of a pain in the ass as it is, while I might let dirty clothes stack up longer than I should, once I wash them, I make sure that I complete the loads and don't let the clean clothes stack up. It's too overwhelming for me. It's easier to go ahead and put away a load as soon as you're finished with it.

I'd do all the cleaning and laundry stuff first because it's easier to do the other stuff when everything is clean and put away. That helps me anyway! I need to go fold lots of laundry too.

Well, we USED to have the agreement that I'd wash and DH would put away. He hasn't been doing it, but I haven't said anything since his back has been bothering him. However, I can't seem to get it all done with all of the other million other little/big things.

I did get the floors done and some laundry and the counters,table, fridge , and oven. Now I'm on a union break :) I totally need a shower.
