For a cold or possibly a sinus infection? I have been using Vics but it doesn't help with the congestion or headaches.

Generally anything that is safe for the baby is safe for you to take while nursing. You or your physician can always check on LacMED http://toxnet.nlm.nih.gov/cgi-bin/sis/htmlgen?LACT . Tylenol is safe to take for the headache and Afrin for the congestion. You may want to stay away from Neo-Synephrine (phenylephrine) which has potential to decrease your milk supply. You could also try a steam to decongest you. If you don't get better I would recommend seeing a provider, as the underlying cause of your sinus infection (if that's what it is) could be bacterial and you might need some antibiotics.
