View Full Version : DD having sleeping issues...advice??

For about the past gosh...2 months (maybe more) she's been waking up around 1am or 2am and fights horribly to go back to sleep, its like she can not get comfortable she flips, flops and crawls around, this is in bed with me and DH which is making things uncomfy and we're loosing alot of sleep we do put her to bed in her bed first and try to put her back but she fights so bad we give in to her being in bed with us to get sleep...we are currently weaning but this sleeping issue started before weaning she'd even nurse then fight sleep, now we havent nursed in two nights and she's still doing it, I'm at a loss as what to do...any advice is helpful...

here is our normal schedule
wake 7-8am
breakfast
play
nap 11am for about 30min-1hr
lunch
play snack
late nap 3pm bout 30min-1hr
dinner about 630pm
bath 8
bedtime 830

Your dd is 9 months old? That's younger than I would nightwean, but if it's working for you then I'll suggest other things.
Is she teething? Teething pain is often worse at night. You might try giving her Hyland's teething tablets when she wakes to see if that helps. Also if she's been used to night nursing, you might offer her a sippy cup of water. She might be thirsty. When my ds acted like this at night it was usually because he was hungry, and I nursed him. Sorry, but that may be the problem your dd is having.
