Oh and my face isn't THAT round anymore. It's round but not that much. Thank goodness.

Here is my shape but this is how I normally look...hair pulled back.

I think you could pull off that cut. It's very cute. Your face shape is similar to whoever it is in the pic you posted (I'm probably the only one who doesn't know who that is. lol.).

I say go for it! Just keep in mind that it won't be easy to pull back with that cut. And, IDK about your kiddo, but mine likes to pull hair.

Oh Ian is not a hair puller. He does like to play with it though, kind of a security thing.

Personally I don't think most people can pull it off.

Sure. I think it's more important to find a stylist experienced with that cut, though. A lot of times they can over direct the hair on the sides while cutting and it results in a funky "hole" at the ears.

Sorry, T, but I don't think that cut looks cute on anyone. Not even on Posh. Just not a fan.

TaraBear
05-06-2009, 02:37 PM
Darn. What should I do then?

HammBugga
05-06-2009, 02:37 PM
I don't think it looks good on posh either but I have a friend who has a similar cut and it looks adorable on her. She can pull it off though, I could not nor could most people I know.

How about just a shorter cut and some choppy bangs?

05-06-2009, 02:43 PM
Well, I love it. ;) Seeing how I have something similar. I'll go find a picture of what I have.

That hairstyle is high maintenance - you have to style it daily for it to look like that AND you have to get it cut at least every 6 weeks to maintain it.

Looking at the two pictures you posted, you don't strike me as the high maintenance hairstyle type gal.

If you're wanting to get rid of some length you could go with a shoulder length style with long layers, a diagonal part, and side swept bang. It can be easily styled with a hairdryer and round brush - no flat iron needed (unless you wanted to :)).

TaraBear

Thing is I did have side bangs and hated them. But I do want a drastically shorter hair cut.

I disagree Kassandra. If you have a good stylist, it shouldn't take you more than 10 mins to do your hair-especially with this cut.

Here is what I have:

Have some length taken off and layers around your face. Live with that for a few weeks, if you like and still want to Posh cut go for it, if you hate, you can still pull your hair into a pony and call it good.

That is a good suggestion. Just make sure you don't get a Rachel cut. :) You can pull your hair into a pony tail and leave a little bang to swoop down, or you can pin them up in the middle and make it look super cute. I think Haleysmom (sp?) has shown pictures of her hair like that.

I am actually getting my address book to call my hairstylist right now to make an appointment to chop my hair.

It depends on the cut and the hair type. I have something similar, but just not as long as Posh's. It needs to be trimmed every 6 weeks, but other than that it's not hard for me. I either wear it curly or use a really good flat iron and some texturizer and hair spray. I use a volumizer on it when it's wet and blow it out with a round brush. It takes me 15 minutes, tops. When it's curly, i put product in it and that's it.

omg, that fucking Rachel cut. When I was still doing hair in the salon during that craze, everyone and their mole wanted that cut. I could still do it in my sleep, I bet . lol! I got to where I'd internally cringe when someone wanted it.Oh, and the Caesar cut for the dudes. bleargh.

I think her DH has another verse that relates to this..or she has the first part of the verse and he has the second part.

Tara, I have a round face and you would be surprised how many cute cuts you can pull off with one.

I love her forth cut down on this page:

LOL! At first I was like, "Oh, no. I've scared Still Me!"

Yes, I'd like to have shorter in the back, too. I hate having hair on my neck when it gets so hot! Yucky feeling.

Yes, I think it would look cute on you AND it's a pretty easy style to take care of.

Personally I don't think most people can pull it off.

Really? I think it looks cute on almost everyone I've seen it on (myself included, lol). I agree, though, that picking the right stylist is really important.

The Kelly Clarkston cut and the Posh cut are the same, one is just longer.

I have wavy hair and I thought that cut was the easiest style I've ever had. I only had to flat iron the front because the back was stacked and just did what it was supposed to. I didn't get mine cut every 6 weeks, either. I'd just let it grow into the Kelly Clarkston cut and then get it cut again. So, maybe every 3mos?

I'll see if I can find pics.

The best cuts, IMO, are the ones that can grow out into something cute. My exact words to my girl were, "I don't want to take more than 10 mins. I don't want to use 4 different products and 3 tools to get the look. Feel free to go crazy." lol I LOVE cutting my hair. I love the feeling of lightness after it goes and I like that I can look polished after just putting on some makeup.

ETA: lol Tweet. You didn't scare me.

ETA2: And just to brag on DH again...he keeps my neck shaved for me. Whenever it needs cleaning he'll grab the buzzers and do it up.

Let me preface this with a)I'm a total cheeseball and b)I do not wear hot pink lipstick. or any lipstick for that matter. I wear clear lipgloss so either my lips were hot pink on their own or it was my camera.

Your hair is so super cute Still Me.

I have a wave to my hair though,

Me too AND I've had that hairstyle recently. It is not a 10 minute fix. I needed a round brush to blow my hair straight and then a flat iron to get that sleek look. A flat iron alone on my naturally dried or blow dried with no brush hair will not result in soft, straight, shiny hair.

I'd also get a flip in the back once the cut started to grow out.

I have a great stylist - not so great hair.

You must have some pretty thick hair, Kassandra! I do the same exact thing and from wet to flat iron (including the round brush blow out to get my curly hair straight) it literally takes me no longer than 15 minutes. My hair is pretty fine, but it's very curly. It just hasn't taken me that long at all.

BeachMama
05-06-2009, 08:09 PM
That style took me about 10 minutes to blowdry and 5 minutes to flat iron. Tops. I don't have 'thick' hair but I have a LOT of hair.

Thanks. The only one of those that is recent is the last one (with the wavy hair). I've put on weight, but I'm trying to take it back off!

LOL.Sorry BM- I really do like your hair(and it doesn't quite look like that same super short posh cut)
I sort of agree with Hamm, I have seen so many women with that cut and very few it seemed flattering on.
..though I have had pretty much the same cut for YEARS so I am really not the one to ask.

Crabbie

Generally I'm not a fan of that cut, but the more I think about it I think it's that I'm not a fan of Posh. I say try the Kelly and if you still want it shorter go for the posh.

SM and BM you two are too cute!
