Apparently, I do not have an nipple duct adenoma. The Dr. really isn't sure what I have going in my nipple. What she does know that whatever it is, is is benign. I have to have a mammogram later in the month, I am guessing to get a baseline ( I am almost 37, so I guess that is wise.), and I have to go back in six months to be professionally felt up again. If it suddenly gets markedly larger, then I need to go again sooner than six months.
I don't really know whether to be relieved to stressed. I would have liked a resolution of some sort--a definite "You have X" kind of thing. She suspects it may just be thickening of the tissue since I am fibrocystic anyway and my breast tissue is thick and lumpy--which is why I am not sure a mammogram is going to be very helpful. I would hate to turn my boobs into a pin cushion because of thick tissue and difficult to read scans when they feel the same as they always have. I guess I should just be glad that my biopsy came back clear.
