Nada.
And my floaty fetus ran away :( Now I just have a bubble.
I just spent two hours writting an argument I think just to myself.
I posted something about local cesarean rates which started a massive shit storm while I was sleeping. So I wrote back a novel and then saw how long it was and realized no one probably even cares, they just wanted to put their opinions out there without actually backing it up.
So that was probably a waste of time.
Im also arguing with the baby and letting her know that when she comes out we will be super enthralled with the way she moves around, and coo over her waving legs and flailing arms, and exclaim over how she wriggles around, and comment on how alert she is. But that could she refrain, please and thank you, from doing all that right now, because there is no room for her to do it, and every time she pushes her arms or grinds my head it sends shooting pain down my hoohah, and maybe if she wants to do that she should consider producing some labor inducing hormones.
So far shes not listening. I have tried begging, threatening, and using logic, but she seems unreceptive to all my techniques. Im going to get the three year old in here soon to reason with her. Good cop bad cop routine..

Aw! I'm thinking about you hon. And I would have been interested in you c/s rant. I would have joined you even.
Random derail about work and c/s. Someone at the bar the other day asked me if I had kids. I told him yes, two sons. He said "Musta been ceserean babies eh? You ain't got birthin hips." I hesitated, unwilling to argue with a drunk tug boat worker over my hips. It got the better of me though and I said "I gave birth to my son without surgery and without drugs. You've got no idea what these hips can do." then I popped a beer in the wall bottle opener and used my hip to bump the bottle and remove the cap.
He shut up.

LOL MrsKitty, I know you must be feeling edgy. I thought long and hard before posting but I just had to know! I know you must be getting this question a zillion times a day now.
But just remember, baby will come out when shes ready. Enjoy her on the inside while you still can, there will be times when you will wish she were still inside :)

If I didn't love yah already that story would have sealed the deal! That is hilarious and wonderful.
I know hospitals varry on these things, but the local hospital (where I would deliver if I wasn't having a homebirth, or where I will be transfered if something goes wrong) has a super bad rep in the labor/delivery section, especially for younger mothers. I have heard one horror story after another. Last night my husband found all this information on the stats for all the local hospitals, and we were just aghast at how horrible that one hospital was. The cesarean rate is 34%.
So apparently being appalled at a 34% cesarean rate directly translates into "I think all cesareans are stupid, I judge all mothers who have cesareans, mothers who have cesareans are irresponsible" and all other sorts of things.
Only I was sleeping.
So this turned into a big argument between a bunch of people, most of whom have never been pregnant/had a pregnant partner, and I don't really think any of them know much about birth or pregnancy in general... and the people defending me were not really doing a great job of it.
So I wrote a two hour novel :P That probably none of them really care about.
Speaking of cesareans, someone asked me why I haven't been scheduled for one for being so overdue (uh..what?) and many people keep asking me when my induction date is. Which is super irritating, and is also playing on my irrational fears of "never going into labor".

All babies come out darling. Don't fret.
NJ's c/s rate is 35%, so I know how you feel. More than one out of every three women having a baby have a c/s. That's totally unreasonable for your average mother.

I know all babies come out :) I just feel like I am on this horrible time line. I am okay with still being pregnant. A few more days ain't gonna kill me. I just keep going in my head "If I don't have here by this date then its no more home birth". Im putting too much pressure on myself and I need to chill out. I just feel like..I need to get her out soon so that they don't transfer me to the hospital.
And yah..the cesarean rates are horrible :( So I went on a long winded explanation about unneeded cesareans and how the rates are way too high and this and that.

Deep breaths, Kitty. The baby is coming soon. Avoid the people who make you crazy, unless it's in a good way.
I'll just have a chat with that baby. "Listen up, sweetness! Finish up whatever you're doing in there and get moving. Life is good on the outside. And there will be milk! Yum! Now get moving!"

I am so looking forward to seeing the little Miss Kitten :) Your reasoning with her really tickled me..so cute! I had many similar conversations with DD who was just over 2 weeks late, especially at night when I had to pee every time she moved and it took an hour to roll my ass out of bed and another hour to get her back to sleep so that I could go back to sleep. Labor vibes! Come out for kisses :)

Yes! The milk! My son keeps telling me he wants her to come out so he can share his nunu with her. He is so excited. We showed him tandem nursing pictures and talked about it so he would feel prepared, and he is all over the idea.
"Im going to hold her hand and rub her head when we have nunu together mama"

So you have a pregnant fetish? Well you don't get much more pregnant than 41weeks! You know what helps get babies out. The same thing that put them in there! Sex.
Heres the thing. I want the baby out, the baby ain't comming out, and the hubby aint putting out.
Lets come to a mutually beneifical agreement. You get to shoot your spunk in a heaving mound of "Im so pregnant I stop breathing when I attempt to fuck" pregnant woman, and I use you for your labor inducing baby goo and cervix banging boom rod.
Have some friends? The more the merrier. You bring the prostaglandins and I'll supply the preggo puss.
Must have large tallywhacker and be STI free. Extra consideration will be given to candidates with prying bars and harnesses. It can be hard to prop me up.

lmfao!! Do it! Nooo, don't really do it. But it's damn funny! Funnier yet, at first I thought you were asking MOI if I had a pregnancy fetish. I'm sitting here seriously thinking, "Well, I don't know. I don't think so..I think pregnant women are beautiful and sexy...no, not a fetish,though..." beofre I realized what was going on. LOL

In case it helps, raw pineapple & licorice (the real stuff - Panda brand) put me into labor in 12 hours. It also put my dog's GI track into over-drive, but he ate the rest of the box! LOL - I felt so bad for our friend who took him that weekend while we were in the hospital.
Good luck!

So..maybe today.
Im not sure yet, but it looks like a possibility.
Last night I kept complaining to my husband that the baby was pushing on my belly weird. I figured she was doing that weird rolly around thing where she puts her head in my pelvis and it sends pain everywhere. Then after a few hours I stopped and thought, why would the baby be kind of rhythmically be pushing like that.. maybe its contractions. But I went to bed. I woke up a few times with contractions but they werent close enough together to really mean anything, but then I felt really sticky and wet between my legs. I thought my water had broken.
Well my mucus plug is definitely gone. That was gross. Obviously I lost it with my son, but I never noticed, it must have been in pieces or something, and not noticeable. This was noticeable. Noticeable enough that I thought it was my waters and was confused when I saw it was sticky and yellow and thick. Ugh. Its like my vagina had a cold. A really messy all over the place cold.
I still feel kind of dampish and I was slightly confused as to weather its just residual yoni yuck or a trickle of water. I had the big movie star gush followed by contractions a minute apart with Dreighton, so there was really no confusion there.
I guess Im thinking that this could be early labor, or it could just be more of that "your body is getting ready...for WEEKS in advance"
But it feels like a good day to have a baby :)
I have a midwife appointment at 1:15 so if things haven't resolved into a more definite yes or no by then I will get her opinion.

Ah, I was in your shoes 4 weeks ago... what always works for me is to schedule an induction date! I was due to go in on April 30th. My midwife would break my waters and see what happens next. Well, I ended up going in at 6:30am that morning, 10 cms dialated and ready to have a baby! I was almost 2 weeks overdue at that point. My kids just like to stay put, I guess.
Good luck and I hope today's the day!!

How did you know to check? Did you get a feeling?
With my son I went "Oh I need to pee" and I went to the bathroom..and then I had this bizzare urge to get in the shower. I got into the shower and as soon as I got in my waters broke in this massive gush. Its like my body knew it was going to happen. I didn't know why to get in the shower, but my body did.

Mine came out when I sat down on the toilet and I could feel it and went to wipe and came up with a huge blood streaked glob in my hand.
