is tomorrow! After tomorrow I will have a sophmore and a 7th grader. Where has the time gone? I remember their first day of school like it was yesterday.

They will be off for 8 weeks and they will have a pretty busy/fun filled summer ahead of them. DD1 will be leaving for Chicago on June 28th and dd2 starts gymnastics camp on the 22nd of June so they are both pretty excited. DD1 will be baby sitting for a few of my co-workers every now and then and she will be dog sitting for 2 days for another co-worker so she is excited to be making some extra $$. DD2 will be a mother's helper to a friend of mine who will be taking her two kids to swimming lessons two times a week and needs help while in the water so she is looking foward to that.

When do your kids get out of school? What are your plans for them for this summer?

Next Wednesday! And my mom will be coming up at the same to take the kids camping and fishing and in the boat. Dh's parents are wanting to take DD1 for most of the summer, but I am not so sure I want them to at this point, because they don't want to do anything with DS and it leaves me to deal with the aftermath of him being upset. (and what more hurtful thing is there for a almost 4 year than watching two of your favorite people take your sister to spend time with them time after time, and never getting to go?)
But other than that I don't know.

They keep changing out out date....first it was June 8, and no they are saying it will be June 12. I am registering my ds for online school next year as the school has declared the jr hi cannot give him the extra attention he needs (I despise our school system).

Kitty my dds go to year round school so they go back in July. I like that idea plus they are off for a week every six weeks so when everyone else is starting school in August they will be on intercession. I like that they also get spring break late too so we don't have to deal with all the crowd of college kids at the beach.

Colleen I'm sorry you have problems with your school district. Our is horrible too so my dds go to a school outside of our district since my DH works for that district.

Jessie that is terrible that you DS gets left behind. Do you think that maybe its his age? My mom would not take my dds overnight until they were almost 4 yrs old. When dd1 was 6 she would go with my mom over night and dd2 and I would have a camp out in the living room and she would forget all about her big sis being at grandma's house, heck she even looked foward to it since she and I would have so much fun while dd1 was gone. It was like our little secret.

Part of it is his age. First it was , "As soon as he was potty trained" and he is and now it is "when he calms down some" They want to be lazy and not do much in regards to caring for kids when they have them. :/ He is very energetic, but if they would let me baby proof their house, it wouldn't be an issue. They do it to my Dh's cousin's kids too. They take the oldest, who is also a girl, but won't take her little brother. For the same lines as they won't take my DS, but also I think because they don't want to take the time to learn about his Cochlear implant and what to do if it comes off.
I think it is pretty crappy for both boys. DS will be 4 in August and he has had one outing and that was for an hour with Grandma. (Who said that he behaved perfectly the entire time!)
