Hello, my name is Diana. I am new to these forums though I have lurked here before, if I had any questions or concerns. I finally decided to come out of hiding. I'm 31, I have a 13-month old son and a 9 yr old daughter. I'm still BF'ing the little one and plan to continue as long as he wants, hopefully sometime before he goes off to college. I don't know anyone (personally) in my circle of fam/friends who has even breastfed this long so it will be good to meet other mommies who think nursing is best. I do get a lot of comments and jokes but I'm not shy to say something back (gotta love that scorpio mouth). Besides introducing myself, I wanted to ask, does anyone know of any nursing covers that are long/big enough for a big, hyper, wriggling baby? I have a hooter hider but my son has no problem ripping it off (he thinks it's funny). Maybe I should make one myself? Anyway, great meeting you all and look fwd to getting to know you all better! :)

Hi Diana...welcome to the boards and WTG for still nursing your LO. My DD is almost 19mo and still nursing strong. It is nice to come here and always know you have full support.

I don't know about the nursing covers. My DD never would allow won to be drapped over her either no matter how big it was. Maybe someone else will have some suggestions.

Look forward to seeing you around.

I never used a nursing cover for either of my boys. I tried in the beginning with ds1, but he would rip anything off by the time he was 2-3 months old. I also learned how to be discrete without a cover so I didn't need one. Sorry if that's not helpful!

Ds2 turned 2 in Feb and is still nursing at least 2-4 times a day. I have no intention of weaning him anytime soon. :)

I don't know anything about nursing covers. Where are you nursing that you don't want people to see? Is it possible to just pull your shirt down over your breast?

Hi there!

I'm also new here. Also with a 12 month old and two 10 year olds! I love the age difference!

I can't help with a cover as my DD would have it off in seconds, but I have found some wonderful tops... I bought these at H&M for about $20... This is me nursing my daughter...

I'm new here too. I am still nursing my son and he is almost 3 and a half. I too get tired of the stupid remarks, like "isn't it weird he's still doing that?", or my sister taunting my son by saying "little baby wants mommy's booby" (meanwhile her daughter sucked on a pacifier until she was 5) and my old GP telling me to wean my son and put him on the bottle when he was 9 mths because "he doesn't need it anymore, he's old enough for cow's milk". That made me so mad I found a new GP who is thrilled that my extremely healthy, intelligent, and loving little boy is still breast feeding. It is a bond my son is not ready to give up, and while it's mostly for comfort now, it's still providing him with the best I can give him. I've dealt with mastitis, thrush, and obstacles along the way, but wouldn't change a thing :)
