You read that right---30lbs! And there are so many more where that came from. Today I am making juice in the steamer/juicer (WONDERFUL invention!!!) and then into jelly. Then I'm planning some jam and cherry pie filling. WHile up to my eyeballs in all of these cherries, dh called and said he saw 50 trees not far from here, full of large, beautiful cherries! "Woah, cowboy, slow down! Let me get these taken care of before we pick more!" LOL!
Anyone else canning?

Not yet. Nothing is ready here. I don't think any thing will be for a few months.
I do have raspberries coming that have jam written all over them.

I'm over half finished and it's 20 to 5 pm. I envision a VERY long night! Too many for one day!!!
I'm bummed you didn't post pictures! Cherries are so pretty, especially rainier/Queen Anne variety. I recently bought some and am disappointed to learn that I am having a bad reaction to them (I got this huge blister on the inside of my mouth after eating them). I don't like many fruits and rainier cherries were frakkin' expensive.

I'd love to have half that amount. :D
I'm hoping our apple tree will produce a lot again this year. I was worried since we had a freeze after the tree already had blooms, but it's looking pretty good.

My husband is suggesting that perhaps you would like to ship some of those cherries to us. Snort. Cause we don't have cherries in California... ;) Or a cherry tree in our own front yard...

Bwahahaha! I've got all the yummy goodnesses and all y'all are soooo jealous! HEEEEE HAW HAW HAW!
I have 3 sour cherry trees in my yard and one in the field behind my house (the owner said we could have the cherries). Also, there are community trees with fruit and nuts of all kinds along most roads.
I love all this canning, but I fully admit, I'm tired and a bit on the grouchy side-----and canning season has only just begun. Come January, I'll be glad I did it.
