View Full Version : I have a big job interview tomorrow

Wish me luck please! I'm really nervous. It's for a middle school teaching job in a classroom for kids with learning disabilities. It's a great school not far from home. I don't know if I'll get it, but at this point, I'm just excited that I even got called for an interview. With this economy, even the special education field is getting competitive.

So, cross your fingers and toes, send good luck vibes, sprinkle good luck dust, whatever is you do, please!

I think the interview went pretty well. They said "good answer" a lot, which is good, I guess. I lost my train of thought once and said "uhh, I'm sorry, but I just totally drew a blank there." The principal laughed and said, "That's great you're confident enough to admit it".

They said the closing date for first round interviews is the 19th, then they'll be calling people for 2nd interviews. I asked them regardless if they chose me for another interview, would they mind giving me some feedback on my interview and they seemed impressed by that and said "Sure!"

They also said they might be hiring for two positions, not just one, so that ups my chances a bit. It sounds like they had a lot of applicants though, so I'm trying to not get my hopes up too high.

So now we wait...
