Help me plan a party...

I think we are going to have a housewarming party in the end of July. I was thinking of also making it a surprise party for my dh's 30th birthday which is a week after. I need ideas of how to theme it to combine both. I want to combine them because we moved over an hour away from most of our friends and families and I dont want to have both events back to back.

I also am using the house warming party to cover the surprise party surprise. As of now, his mom is getting a flat tire on the way over and that should get everyone in to surprise him.

You could do a Luau. I'm no good at adult party planning, sorry. Do you need to have a theme? I'd probably just do a big BBQ.

Hmm, I think any theme could be used,really! I like the idea of a Lua. Is your DH into anything in particular? Maybe base the theme on something he really,really digs?
